Message from the Manager
Greetings from Citadel Residential School!
A well-known author, speaker and international advisor on education Ken Robinson observes that “The core purpose of education is to prepare young people for life after school; helping them to build up the mental, emotional, social, and strategic resources to enjoy challenge and cope well with uncertainty and complexity.” Over a period of time, schools have changed a lot and the duty of education is amended to fuel the growth of children in accordance with the changing world. Hence, we agree with Ken Robinson. It’s in this context, that I am pleased and proud to share some thoughts about Citadel Residential School. The core of Citadel’s education is to prepare them for “Life after school.” It’s really that simple as Nelson Mandela pointed out that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Therefore Citadel is committed to provide a unique and an exhilarating lifestyle education to students for their life after school and thus to change the world.
Our task in the field of education is to help children climb their own mountains as high as possible. They need the “mental, emotional, social and strategic resources” to live in a world that none of us really know about. Instead of rolling the dice with the lives of those we teach, we need to provide an education that allows them to face the unknown. Hence our aim is to inculcate in every student with the best values possible i.e, intellectual, moral, spiritual, social and cultural to make them best citizens, efficient leaders and responsible individuals.
We realize that every child that passes through the gateways of Citadel School brings with him/her great creativity and talent, and we do our best to nurture and groom this invaluable asset. It’s our aim to shape every student in our school to emerge as a model citizen of tomorrow, and hence we have carefully created the ambiance and opportunities for them to grow into a complete individual.
Considering the compulsive demands of a fast changing world, we envision to impart progressive and quality education that meets the demands of a competitive society and to inculcate the basic moral and ethical values that make our children dutiful, disciplined and dignified.
Our mission is to mold a young generation of active and creative minds, with a sense of understanding and compassion for others and have the courage to act on their beliefs. We also strive for excellence, unlocking the full potential in each individual, making them into confident and independent learners emphasizing on their overall development. We provide the right environment to our students to acquire knowledge through determination. Our motto is Duty, Dignity and Discipline: with these 3 D’s of Citadel, we promote academic excellence while nurturing young people to become moral and intellectual beings, people of duty, dignity and discipline who wish to make a difference in the world. We also offer counselling facilities to our children to examine their mental and psychological well being.
Home means where you have energy, where you are creative, where you are happy and our hostels are a second home to our students.
With the help of Almighty God our school has engraved a place in achieving remarkable results in all fields. It’s our honour to say that our school is an education par excellence, a gateway to mastery molding the future of our students. We have a great team of committed, qualified and dedicated teachers who strive to make the process of teaching an interesting, fun and positive experience for the students. We encourage our teachers to constantly learn and grow through training programs that sharpen their skills and to be well-versed in the power of technology for more effective teaching. Further, we are committed to build a healthy relationship between the faculty, the students and the parents to create a warm and congenial atmosphere all around. With immense pleasure and enthusiasm we welcome all of you to this ‘Castle of Knowledge.’
